This series is a photographic exploration of transience and memory in the Irish landscape. Created during an artist residency at the Burren College of Art [Co. Clare, Ireland] in February 2025, this body of work captures the shifting landscapes of West Clare - the Atlantic Ocean, the Burren, and the towns in-between - in a way of blurring the line between permanence and impermanence.

The long exposure photographs of the west coast capture the ocean’s timeless and persistent motion. These images dissolve the boundary between land and ocean, focusing on the transient and intangible space where the waves meet the shore.

The two diptychs, Transience and Permanence, bring these ideas together, pairing images that contrast movement and stillness in the landscape. These works consider what remains unchanged versus what is always shifting, what lasts and what leaves. Two Ravens is a stand-alone photograph, again looking at duality, but represented as is in the natural world. Across these series, the work forms an internal and external reflection on the west coast of Ireland, the weight of time in our memories, experiences and physical places. Like the tides, our emotions, histories, and identities ebb and flow - always in motion and always shifting.
